Honors Program Consideration Essay



    The Honors Program at Cumberland University offers an opportunity for intellectually curious students to broaden their horizons beyond the traditional university classroom experience. The program uses an interdisciplinary approach to encourage critical thinking, cultivate ethical and social responsibility, and develop professional skills that students can carry with them into the future.

    In an effort to ensure a holistic consideration process for the Honors Program, students who do NOT have a 27 ACT/1280 SAT and a 3.5 GPA may submit an essay for Honors Consideration. The essay must be a minimum of 750 words, and it should address the following prompt below.
     



    Students MUST include their Student ID (A#) below when submitting their essay. If you do not know your Student ID (A#), please contact your enrollment specialist.
