I-20 Travel Signature Request Form

If you have upcoming international travel plans, check your most recently-issued I-20 form for the date of your most recent travel endorsement, found in the "Travel Endorsement" section on page 2 of the I-20. 

 

Student Type	Travel Signature Validity Time Frame
F-1 student enrolled	12 months
F-1 student on OPT or STEM Extension	6 months

Note: During a semester of study at Cumberland University, any travel outside of the U.S. is highly discouraged. We recommend all travel be done during periods of established breaks between semesters.

Important to Remember:

• For most international travel, a passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after re-entry to the United States.
• You must have a valid F-1 visa for re-entry to the U.S.
• If you have a pending OPT application, it is highly recommended that you remain in the U.S. until a decision is rendered by USCIS. If you choose to travel, you will be doing so at your own risk.
